My son was diagnosed with autism at just 18 months old. He began early intervention and received a series of therapies during that stage. When it was time for him to attend pre-K, I was presented with several school options. I visited multiple schools to learn more about their programs, but as a parent, I didn’t feel confident or excited about any of the choices offered.
Then, at the last minute, Seton Foundation for Learning was introduced to us, and everything changed. From the moment I learned about their program, I knew this was the right place for my son. It felt like divine intervention! the Lord has a way of guiding families like ours to what’s best for our children.
Fast forward and I have had the privilege of meeting the incredible individuals behind the magic that happens at Seton. From my very first encounter, I could see the difference that sets this school apart from all the others I visited. It’s the leadership! the sincerity, passion, love, and care exuded by the leaders are mirrored in every teacher, aide, and therapist. Because of them, my son has truly thrived.
Throughout the years, my son has experienced genuine love and care at Seton. The teachers and therapists consistently communicate with parents to ensure they bring out the best in each child. Not only are they exceptional at developing skills and knowledge, but they also fill in the gap of tender loving care (TLC). Believe it or not, it’s not just about academics TLC makes a huge difference. It nurtures encouragement, willingness, and drive in our children.
I would also like to highlight the dynamic collaboration between the teachers and therapists at Seton. This is the only school where I have seen such strong, cohesive teamwork. Teachers and therapists are constantly communicating to ensure they are aligned with the specific needs of each child. This seamless partnership creates continuity in our children’s learning and development, which is invaluable.
As a single parent by choice, having Seton Foundation for Learning as my partner during my son’s formative years has been life changing. I never felt lost, pressured, or stressed , I felt supported and guided every step of the way. I never felt alone.
Not only has my son learned and grown, but I, too, have learned so much as a parent about my child, how to care for him, and how to cope with the challenges of raising a child with special needs. For that, I will always be grateful to the Seton Foundation for Learning.
