Admission Policy
All preschool placements are generated by the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE.) Once recommended by CPSE the families tour the building and are interviewed by the Director. If it is determined to be an appropriate setting and if a seat is available, the parent may notify their CPSE Administrator that they are interested in pursuing placement.
When do I get accepted?
Following your placement meeting with CPSE, your child is put on a class list for the upcoming school year. Your Administrator will forward all documentation to Seton. Generally, that will include all reports pertaining to your most recent evaluation submitted for eligibility for preschool services. If your child is already in their fourth year of age, the most recent IEP and any other relevant documents submitted to determine placement will be sent. Current NYC Department of Health approved medicals and immunization records are critical and will be examined throughout the year for additional information or immunizations as timeline appropriate or as needed.
